“Good Stories map transformation and the more you are trained to understand that change is a part of life, the more you are building emotional resilience.

The question that I hope to generate amongst us today is how can we harness the power of stories in all learning?

For example:

The study of history could be the story of how people deal with change
The study of languages could be the story of how people talk to each other
The study of physics could be the story of how things move and are moved
The study of chemistry could be the story of how things influence each other
to create change…” From Positive Schools 2014 Keynote Address, Why Stories are Good for the Brain.

I love to talk and teach about creative writing, storytelling, movement, drama and performance for all ages.

If you’re a school, organisation or community group and you’re keen to offer your students a different kind of learning experience, I’d love to hear from you.
